After August 2 and during the conference period, registration is available at the Secretariat Office, 2nd floor of the same building.

Procedure of the International Meeting:
- All panelists (introductory speakers) in each session are asked to speak for maximum 12 minutes. Those speaking from the floor are requested to observe 5-minute time limit, and questions and comments to the panelists should be limited to 2 minutes.
- Those wishing to take the floor are to raise their hands or submit a request paper to the chair.

Drafting Committee meeting on the conference declaration

The International Meeting will adopt a “Declaration of the International Meeting” as the common will of the participants. All participating organizations from overseas are invited to send one representative to the Drafting Committee meeting to join Japanese drafting members to discuss the draft of the document on the evening of August 3. The approved draft will be presented to the Closing Session of the International Meeting on August 4 for adoption.

Forum Dialogue between government representatives and civil society for achieving a nuclear weapon-free, peaceful and just world
(13:30-16:00, Hiroshima JA Bldg):
Discussion will focus on the actions and movements in nuclear-armed and dependent countries for defeating nuclear deterrence theory and the implementation and universalization of the TPNW.
Workshop 1: Achieving a nuclear weapon-free world and making Japan join the TPNW (Hiroshima-ken Shakai Fukushi Kaikan 2F)
Activities will be presented and discussed on “Nuclear-Free Japan Campaign II” and national campaigns to urge respective governments to join the TPNW
Workshop 2: Challenges and role of labor movement in achieving a non-nuclear and peaceful world (09:30-13:30, Hiroshima JA Bld.)
Representatives of labor movements of the U.S., ROK and Japan will discuss international solidarity activities on achieving the abolition of nuclear weapons and creating a nuclear-free and peaceful world
Workshop 3: Achieving a nuclear-free and peaceful Japan and Asia (Hiroshima YWCA No.3 Bldg, 2F)
How should we build peace and security in the East Asia, where military buildup and “nuclear deterrence” capability are being strengthened?
Workshop 4: Preventing revision of Article 9 of Japan’s Constitution, war preparations and military buildup; Defending peace and people’s living (Hiroshima-ken Joho Plaza, B2)
People’s nationwide struggles and campaigns against the revision of the Three Non-Nuclear Principles and Article 9 of Japan’s Constitution and military buildup promoted by the Takaichi government
Workshop 5: Learning and succeeding Hibakusha’s struggles (Seikyo Kenko Plaza 5F)
Learning Hibakusha’s experiences, testimonies and struggles, we must take them as our own and succeed to future generations in or efforts to achieve the prohibition and elimination of nuclear weapons.
Workshop 6: Gender equality and the abolition of nuclear weapons (Judojo, Hiroshima Sports Center)
Gender equality is essential in achieving a peaceful and nuclear-free world. Discussion will focus on making our campaigns easier for everyone to join.
Workshop 7: Youth forum (Small Arena, Hiroshima Sports Center)
Listening to Hibakusha’s testimonies and discussion with international youths, young people will learn from each other and explore how to achieve a nuclear-free and peaceful world.
Workshop 8: Anti-nuclear and peace culture (Iki-Iki Plaza)
Many people have acted on and expressed their aspirations and hopes through various forms of cultural activities. Building on their strength, participants will discuss and explore future cultural activities for peace.
Workshop 9: Climate crisis; renewable energy and nuclear power (Hiroshima Road Bldg. 3F)
Climate crisis and Japan’s policy on energy and nuclear power generation are threatening the survival of humanity. Participants will learn and discuss these challenges in relation with anti-nuclear peace struggles.
Field trip 10: “Let’s listen to the voices of Hiroshima”: Visit to peace memorials in Hiroshima Peace Park (08:30-16:00)
