2. Registration & Information Meeting
Registration opens at 15:00 on August 2 at Large Conference Room (Dai Kaigishitsu) of Green Arena, Hiroshima Prefectural Sports Center. (4-1 Motomachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima. https://h-jigyoudan.or.jp/sports-center/ ), where you will receive an information packet for the conference.
Registration fee is US$30 or 30 Euro. (cash only)
The Information Meeting for overseas delegates will be held at 17:00 on August 2 at the same venue to explain the proceedings of the World Conference.
After August 2 and during the conference period, registration is available at the Secretariat Office (See above).
Access from Hiroshima Station to Green Arena:
- By bus: Get off at “Kamiyacho” or “Bus Center”
- Streetcar: Get off at “Kamiyacho-nishi” or “Atomic Bomb Dome-mae”
3. Working Languages
Official working languages in the Conference are Japanese and English. English-Japanese simultaneous/consecutive translation will be provided in the International Meeting and other major meetings and events during the conference.
4. Transportation within Japan
(1) From Hiroshima to Nagasaki on Aug. 7
Chartered bus will be arranged for the delegates moving from Hiroshima to Nagasaki on the morning of Aug. 7. (Leaving Hiroshima early morning, reaching Nagasaki around 14:00.) The Organizing Committee will cover the cost of the bus transportation. Please make reservation at the registration.
(2) Return trip from Nagasaki to your departure points/ Tokyo
You are requested to make your train/flight arrangement for your homebound trip from Nagasaki, after the conference is closed on August 9. If you need help in getting to your departure point other than Tokyo, please ask the Secretariat for assistance on your specific travel arrangement as soon as possible, along with the date and flight number of your departure from Japan.

5. Accommodation
Hotel accommodation
Set below are the hotels we have secured for our overseas delegates. Basically all hotel rooms are Non-Smoking.
Hiroshima:

(3) Food
There are restaurants and take-out food outlets in and around the conference venues. Restaurants in town provide a variety of less expensive foods than in hotel restaurants. Average lunch in a restaurant costs about 1000 – 1,500 yen; supper 2,000 – 5,000 yen.
9. Facility for conference delegates
Copy/fax machines and printer are available at the Secretariat offices at cost. There will be no rental computers/laptops for conference participants. Please bring your own laptop PC with you.
10. Climate
Japan in August is both VERY hot and humid all day. Temperatures usually goes up to 30-35 degrees Celsius. Wearing light clothing, hat, or parasol is most recommended. Be sure to always carry a bottle of water to avoid dehydration. All conference halls are air-conditioned.
11. Visit to Local Groups after the Conference Program
We will help arrange visits to local peace groups or professional organizations on request. You may be asked individually for invitations from Japanese local groups.
